Richard Charles Hollingshead III, aged 21, tragically passed in a fatal motorcycle accident on December 19, 2025 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

He was born on November 17, 2004, at Lovelace Woman's Hospital, to Richard and Monica Hollingshead. Richard attended La Cueva High school as well as Career Enrichment Center. He was on the wrestling and soccer team in high school as well as having obtained his EMT basic in high school. He then went on to proudly join the Bernalillo County Fire Department.

He is best known for his indefatigable drive and able to inspire those around him to be the absolute best they can be and push the limit to their fear. His energy in life and the gym made it hard for others to keep up. His focus was positivity and living life to the absolute max. He will be remembered for his brutal honesty yet deeply loving and compassionate heart. He had such a deep and devoted love for his family, friends, and department that will continue to be felt in the hearts of everyone impacted by him.

He is survived by his parents, Richard and Monica Hollingshead; older sister, Parris Hollingshead; and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents and great grandparents. He is preceded in death by his much loved great grandparents, Richard and Eve Hollingshead.

Family, friends, and BernCo Fire family will be attending services this week to celebrate and honor the life of Richard Charles Hollingshead III.
