Richard Alan Powell

Richard "Rick" Powell, age (74), devoted husband, father, and uncle passed away on August 13, 2026.

Rick was know for his infectious laugh and his fun spirit. He worked hard and retired from the freezer at Shamrock - and still found time to fish, bow-hunt and be a devoted church goer.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Connie E. in December 2024, and his devoted son Jamie Joe who served as his caregiver until he passed on June 20, 2026. They are all three together again and with so many who have gone on before and reunited in Heaven.

He is survived by his sister Pamela Foster and a slew of nephews, and nieces nationwide including Jake, Elizabeth, Paul, David 'DJ', and Vicky from the Coleman family and many other friends and family who knew and loved him.

Funeral Services will be held at Alameda Baptist Church located at 8818 2nd St NW, Alameda, NM 87114 Friday September the 11th at 10:00 AM.

Internment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery at 12:00 PM.
