Anita Ulibarri

Anita Ulibarri, 82, beloved Partner, Mother, and Grandmother, was called to her eternal resting place on November 22, 2023. She entered this world on October 23, 1941 in Santa Fe, NM, born to Pedro and Maria Sanchez. She is survived by her companion, Arthur Begay; daughter, Jackie Grigg (Fred Grigg); daughter, Dayna Wilkie (Steve Wilkie); son, Jason Ulibarri; step daughter, Elisa Begay (Shane Mortensen) and her sibling Betty Espinoza (Manual Espinoza); grandchildren, Luke Grigg, Michael Wilkie (Garrett Kemble), Kyle Wilkie (Nicole Ackerman), Nate Wilkie, Shelby Wilkie, Jason Jr., Allison Harper, and Ione Jim; and her great grand-daughters, Willow Grigg, Everly Grigg, Kaydence Wilkie, and Kole Wilkie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Augustin Ulibarri; her parents, Pedro and Frutosa Maria Sanchez; her siblings, Gina Duran, Viola McTiegue, Dennis Sanchez, Willie Sanchez, Lou Anne Sanchez, Richard Sanchez; and her beloved grandchild, Jesse Grigg.

Anita will be remembered for her knack of making a house a home. Anita had a great love for cooking, not just cooking, but cooking for others. Anita wore many hats throughout her life, but when she worked as a caretaker she shined. She was kind and loving to those around her.

Services will be held at St. Jude Thaddeus, 5712 Paradise Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114 on Friday December 8, 2023.

9:30 a.m. Rosary 10:15 a.m. Mass. and reception to follow at St. Jude Parish Hall. Honorary pallbearers are Jason Jr., Luke Grigg, Nate Wilkie, Kyle Wilkie, Michael Wilkie, Shane Mortensen, Brian Espinoza, Conrad Espinoza, Diego Espinoza, and Everett Espinoza.
