Raymond Neal Gaskill

Raymond Gaskill passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2020, after a brief illness. He was an Albuquerque NM native, and was a graduate of Highland High School where he had been a baseball and football player. He joined the family business while in his teens and became the third-generation owner of Gaskill Painting & Decorating, which he operated for over 40 years.
Raymond owned Gaskill Painting & Decorating beginning in the late 1960s, which was a commercial and residential painting company started by his grandfather, John W. Gaskill, and later owned by his father, Glenn R. Gaskill. Raymond retired from the business in the early 2000s. Raymond was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, camping and outdoor sports. He was also a former member of the Elks Club and was on several bowling teams in Albuquerque, and also enjoyed western dancing.
Raymond was preceded in death by his father Glenn, his mother Barbara, and brother, Glenn Jr. He is survived by his brother Ransom Gaskill of California, nephew Russell C. Gaskill and his family, niece Linda Gaskill Connor and her family, and niece Laura Gaskill Hardin and family.
Private services will be held on December 28th and plans for a celebration of his life will be scheduled when public gathering restrictions are released.
