Ramona Carcera (Gutierrez) Holdeman

Ramona Holdeman, 96, beloved mother and grandmother, died peacefully on April 1, 2018. Born in Corrales, NM to Napoleon and Rosaura Gutierrez. She is survived by her daughters, Mina and Christine (Pickles) Holdeman; granddaughter, Shannon Holdeman; and other nieces and nephews, Ralph Gutierrez, Napoleon, Gary, Xavier, Matthew, and Francis Pribble.

Ramona proudly served in the Air Force during the 1940's and was married to Cecil Holdeman. She loved traveling, sewing, football and volunteering. In addition to knitting for the homeless, she was a regular volunteer at the VA hospital for over 40 years where she created handmade gifts, helped in the rehab center and escorted patients.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 9, 2018, at FRENCH - University, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial is on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, 11:00 a.m., with a Rosary being recited at 10:30 a.m., at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5311 Phoenix Avenue NE.
