Pura Camacho

Pura Camacho passed into the eternal kingdom of God on March 14, 2024.

She was born on August 10, 1926 in Boqueron. Puerto Rico. She was preceded in death by her father Juan de la Cruz Camacho, her mother Armantina Garcia, her spouse of 50 years, David Cuesta, Sr., son David Cuesta, Jr. and grandson Daniel Cuesta. She is survived by sons Robert Cuesta (spouse Linda), Alex Cuesta (Spouse Lucy), daughter Doris Cuesta Salinas (Spouse Bob) and daughter in law Hilda Cuesta. She had 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 3 great great grand children.

She came to the United States in 1945 where she lived in her beloved New York City. She moved back to Puerto Rico in 1991 until the death of her spouse in 2008. Since then she has lived in New Mexico. She was an extrovert who loved God first, life, music and dancing. She enjoyed watching Christian television. Her secret to a long life is to eat well, exercise daily and love people as God loves people.

A memorial service will be held at Trinity Family Church, 6101 Paradise Blvd, Albuquerque, NM on April 12th at 1:30pm.
