Phyllis Jean Finlayson

Phyllis Finlayson got her wings and went to walk with the angels on Monday, April 18, 2022, at the age of 88. Born in 1934 in Oklahoma, Phyllis moved to Albuquerque with her parents and siblings as a child. She was a devoted wife and mother and a faithful member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur (2006) and her daughter, Renee (1961). Her brother, David Leroy Seymour (2016) also predeceased her. She is survived by her son, David Finlayson (Jennifer); daughter, Diane Baker (Stuart); grandchildren, Greg Baker, Corey Baker, Samantha Finlayson, and Megan Finlayson; and step-grandchild, Joel Cameron (Salina). She is also survived by her best friend and sister, Mary Friberg (George); brother, James Seymour (Elizabeth); and sister-in-law, Carolyn Seymour; as well as many nieces and nephews. A heartfelt thanks to the medical staff of Presbyterian Hospital who cared for Phyllis on many occasions, and a special thanks to Dr. Saltzman and her team of nurses for spending so much time talking to the family in our mother's final days.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, 11:00 a.m., at FRENCH-University. Burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
