Phillip Henry Shoultz, 97, passed away into the loving hands of God on November 22, 2025.
Born on January 28, 1928, in Minneapolis, MN, to Henry Edwin and Clara lily Shoultz. Phillip graduated from Columbia Heights High School and later earned a Master of Public Health from the University of Minnesota. Phillip served in the US Army in Germany as part of the WW2 Occupation Force. He later served with the US Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, specializing in hospital environmental health, achieving the rank of Captain (0-6). His service took him to Oklahoma, Navajo Nation, Alaska, and New Mexico.
Phillip is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Mary Margaret; his four children: Susan Creasy (Anthony), Karen Shoultz, David Shoultz (Dawn), and Mark Shoultz; four grandchildren: Eric Jungbauer (Angela), Tracey Hilden (Nathan), Brian Shoultz (Anna), and Stella Shoultz; and four great-grandchildren: Clara, Jaclyn, Evelyn, and Mary. Phillip is also survived by his sister, Lois Bredeson (age 99), his brother, Gerald Shoultz (age 100), and several nieces and nephews.
Phillip will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his love of nature and the outdoors, and his service to his country.
Plans for a private memorial are pending.
