Philip Albert Stynes

Philip Albert Stynes died quietly on the morning of August 7, 2018 after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his brother Peter, his daughter Stephanie, and his grandchildren, Nora, Nate and Maddy.

One of five sons, Philip was born in Somerville, Massachusetts in 1934. He attended West Point Military Academy and went on to serve in the army for more than 20 years. Upon retiring from the army as a Lt. Colonel, Philip pursued a career as a computer scientist.

An avid traveler, skier and cyclist, Philip enjoyed a long, full life. There will be a memorial celebration in his honor in the fall.
