Peggy Lunsford

Peggy Lunsford, 59, peacefully passed away and was called home by the Lord on July 27, 2025, lovingly surrounded by her family.

Following her retirement as a court reporter at the Second Judicial District Court, Peggy devoted time to volunteering at the Church of the Risen Savior. She lived a joy-filled life dedicating her time to family, friends, and the family pets (Luci and Won Ton).

Peggy is survived by her husband, Jeff Lunsford; parents, Raymond and Selfa Romero; sister, Greta (Lawrence) Cavalier; niece, Brittney Cavalier; nephew, Andrew (Elisha) Romero and their family, Taylor and Baby Jesse, Izaea, and Dys; and nephew, Donald Cavalier and his family, Monique, Elena and Ella. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members, and friends who she was close to.

She is predeceased in death by her Maternal Grandparents, Epimenio and Ernestina Marina Cruz and Paternal Grandparents, William and Gertrude Romero.

A rosary will be held in memory of Peggy on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at the Church of the Risen Savior (7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque) immediately followed by a funeral mass at 9:30 a.m. Burial will take place at the Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery (7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE) at 10:45 a.m. A reception will take place at the Church of the Risen Savior Parish Hall from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
