Pauline "Charla" Escalante

At 4:00 pm on November 14th, 2023, Pauline “Charla” Escalante passed away at home with family by her side. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Pauline’s legacy lives on through her two children (Veronica, Carlos), five grandchildren (Cassandra, Abigail, Andrew, Anthony, Shayna), and seven great-grandchildren (Romy, Penelope, Aiden, Ari, Cella, Charlotte, Henry). She was survived by her husband of 36 years, Daniel Escalante as well as four siblings (Alice, Robert, William, Leroy). Born on July 3rd, 1951, in Taos, New Mexico, Pauline moved to Albuquerque as a teenager with her family where she attended college and worked in the medical field for over 30 years, during which time she got married and had two children. She enjoyed playing softball and dancing. Throughout her life she tried to help those she could, whether that was with food, clothes, or simply someone to listen to them. She tried her best to be the change she wanted to see in the world.
