Paula Wiltgen

It is with a heavy heart we announce Paula Diane Wiltgen passed away Saturday, September 23, 2023.

Born Tuesday, January 24, 1967 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Paula began a life rooted in family and friends. Growing up close to her dearly loved grandmother, Doris Kugler, she graduated Valley High School and shortly began raising a family of her own.

A devoted mother, Paula's heart was to serve those around her. Raising five children (and many of their friends) Paula found the most joy in making sure those around her were cared for. She went back to school to receive her bachelor's degree in Bachelor of Science in Social Work to continue helping others working in mental health care.

Paula met and married her husband, Michael McDaniel, July 2013. The two built a home for their family in the North Valley fulfilling a lifelong dream to return to the place she grew up. Nothing made her happier than seeing her grandchildren playing in the yard or running through the halls.

Paula spent her final days in her beloved home surrounded by family and friends. Her fiery spirit and dedication to others lives on in her husband, Mike McDaniel; her five children Brandon Wiltgen, Brittany Gabaldon, Brenten Wiltgen, Bryan Wiltgen and Brianna Wiltgen; her stepchildren Ariel Gonzales, Sara Gonzales; her grandchildren Cooper Gabaldon Parker Gabaldon, Lillian Wiltgen, Ryker Wiltgen, Isabella Gonzales; her mother Kathy Mortenson; and her brother Scott Zimmer.

Memorial Services will be held at FRENCH- Lomas on Monday October 2, 2023 beginning at 10:00 am.
