Paula LeSueur, 76, passed away on December 3, 2025. Born on December 9, 1948, Paula devoted her life to caring for those around her. She was a nurse practitioner who helped and saved countless women and at-risk teens for many years, starting her career in California and then working for many decades in Santa Fe, Albuquerque, and in school-based clinics across the state of New Mexico.
Paula was the ultimate mother; the Girl Scout troop leader, the class parent, the PTA president, and the confidant and counselor to so many friends and family members. Her generosity and compassion touched all who knew her. Nothing reflects her neverending and unwavering love, strength, guidance, and support more than the lives of her daughters.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Sandoval; daughters, Kate and Laura; brother, David LeSueur; grandchildren, Bennett, Chloe, Miles, and Waverly; and sons-in-law, Nathan Box and Dave Thompson and numerous nephews and nieces.
Paula's unforgettable life was a blessing. We won't be the same without her.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the New Mexico Alliance for School-Based Health Care, which provides comprehensive out-patient services (both physical diagnoses and mental health care) to students in school.
