Paul Wagy was born in Flasher, ND on September 26, 1935 to Walter and Ida Wagy. Paul went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, June 5, 2016. He was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta (Letty) Wagy to whom he was married for 52 years. He is survived by his four sons, Dale and his wife, Katherine, Lyle and his wife, Desiree, Todd, and Clay and his wife, Nicole; nine grandchildren, Travis and his wife, Aleigha, Chance, Trey, Brandon, Preston and his wife, Bailey, Kassi, Danielle, Landon, and Evan; and two great grandchildren, Brysen and London.
Paul attended Devil's Lake School for the Deaf for his primary education. He was a most beloved and devoted husband, father, and grandfather and he will be greatly missed. Paul worked at the former Albuquerque Testing Labs as a soils technician and was most recently employed by the United States Postal Service and Lovelace Hospital until he retired. Paul was a member of the Deaf Senior Citizens of Greater Albuquerque and the Zia Deaf-Blind Club where he enjoyed spending time with his friends. Paul also enjoyed spending time with his church family at Sandia Baptist Church through the Deaf Ministry. The love that Paul showered upon his friends and family will continue to brighten the lives of those that he has left behind.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at French - University at 11:00 a.m., with viewing one hour prior from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd NE. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the Albuquerque Deaf Baptist Church, abqdeaf.com.
