It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia (Patty) Kay Clark, 67, on November 7, 2024 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, surrounded with love by her husband - Randy, her children - Sean, Kelly, and Caitlin, and her brother - Mike. She fought to stay with us until her very last breath. Her soul departed against a serene backdrop of freshly snow-dusted Sandia Mountains, which stood in view from her room following a rare autumn storm.
Patty was born on June 6, 1957 in El Paso, Texas. She was a devoted wife, mother, Nana, sister, aunt, teacher, mentor, and friend known for her kindness, generosity, good humor, and wisdom. She was passionate about improving math education and encouraged critical thinking (even among her family, who often would have preferred the quick use of a calculator). She was an avid reader whose book recommendations and discussions will be sorely missed.
She is survived by her loving husband, G. Randall (Randy) Clark; her son, Sean Ryan Clark, daughter-in-law, Alexa Victoria Stanco, and grandsons, Lucas Declan Clark and Aidan Theodore Clark; her son, Kelly Patrick Clark, daughter-in-law, Tara Cristina Clark, grandson, Jaeden Henry Lane, and granddaughters, Mayah Ana Lane and Maliyah Reese Lane; her daughter, Caitlin Colleen Hernandez and son-in-law, Phillip Benedict Hernandez; and her brother, Michael Warren Mullin. Her family will forever remember her for her warmth, compassion, and the strength and love she brought to each of them. She was predeceased by her father, Hugh Patrick Mullin; her mother, Phyllis Ray Mullin; and her brothers, Terrence Paul Mullin and Kevin Patrick Mullin.
Her viewing will be held on Monday, December 2 at 10 am followed by the funeral service at 11 am at St. Michael & All Angels Episcopal Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico. A reception at our home will follow. Her burial ceremony will be held at Fort Bliss National Cemetery in El Paso, Texas on Tuesday, December 3 at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the National Marrow Donor Program (www.nmdp.org) (formerly known as Be the Match), an organization that was dear to Patty's heart through which she found her stem cell transplant match.
Patty will be forever missed but never forgotten, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
