Patricio Candelario Casias

Patricio Candelario "Pat" Casias, age 90, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather (GiGi, and Grandpa, Pat) passed away mid-morning Wednesday, March 28, 2018.

He is survived by his daughter, Veronica (Raymond) Jaramillo; son, Henry (Kathi) Casias; grandchildren, Jessica Jaramillo (Louie)Anaya, Justin (Annie) Casias, and Ryane Casias; great grandchildren, Rylee, Eloise, Ava, Chloe, Matthew, Ryder and Michael; his siblings, Sylvia Sisneros, Tita , Lillian, Sisto, and Carlos(Bertha) Martinez; and many other family and friends. Pat was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Maria Amelia Casias; his father, Francisco Casias; and his parents, Pat and Francisquita Martinez; and his sisters, Erlinda and Cecilia.

He was born in Rainsville, NM on Wednesday, February 15, 1928 and resided in Albuquerque since 1963. Pat served our country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was an Electrical Engineer and retired from AMPEX Corporation. His hobbies included leather crafting and antique car collecting and restoration.  Pat started Mi Sueno Studios, was a Mile High Little League coach for two generations, and an amateur photographer for Manzano High School sports.  Mr. Casias was an avid story and joke teller. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Rosary and Prayer Vigil will be held Sunday, April 1, 2018, 5:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, April 2, 2018, 9:00 a.m. at The Shrine of St Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School Rd NE.  Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul Blvd NE.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Presbyterian Ear Institute (PEI), 415 Cedar St SE, Albuquerque, NM  87106  (505) 224-7020
