Patricia Ann Zeimis

Patricia Zeimis, 81, beloved sister, daughter, aunt, and friend was called to her eternal resting place on Friday, June 9, 2023. She entered this world on Friday, January 16, 1942, in Joliet, IL, born to Anthony and Irene (Webb) Zeimis. She is survived by her friends Mary Ann Sabie and Flo Petrofes who provided Pat with companionship and served her needs; sister Nora E. Reid; nephew Zachary Varner, and many cousins and other friends. Patricia was an active member of St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church and of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Patricia was a graduate of Marquette University, class of 1963, with a BS in Political Science and later a Masters of Science degree in Health Services Administration from Cardinal Stritch University. Pat retired from her work in Health Services Administration in 2007 and pursued Independent contracting work with the State of New Mexico. Pat loved to play bridge with friends, actively pursued working for social justice, and enjoyed her dogs Jerri, Zippy, and especially Emma, who preceded her in death. Pat had a quick wit, a generous heart, and an infectious laugh. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande in August with burial in Joliet, IL to follow. Memorials should be directed to St. Vincent de Paul Society, St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Parish, Albuquerque, NM.
Pat would want everyone to remember the Serenity Prayer. "God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."
