Patricia "Pat" Bovitz, 87, was born April 3rd, 1939, to Alice and Edward Carter of Roswell, New Mexico. Pat passed away Tuesday, June 30th, 2026.

Pat and her husband Ray raised their three sons in Michigan. She moved to Albuquerque, NM in the 1990's to care for her mother Alice. She was known for her dedication to her three sons and especially her youngest son, Michael, who was born with special needs.

She was a devout Catholic and a member of Our Lady Of The Most Holy Rosary Catholic Community and of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, in Albuquerque, NM. She was a loyal person and built many lasting and endearing friendships over the years. She had a vast array of interests and loved books, music, and movies. She especially loved the music of Neil Diamond, Elvis Presley, and Celtic Thunder.

She is survived by her sons, Richard J. Bovitz (Karen), of Romulus, MI, and Michael A. Bovitz, of Albuquerque, NM; grandson, Nickolas Bovitz (Takita); great-grandson, Toviyah; and great-granddaughters, Tessa and Daisy of Flushing, MI, and granddaughter Elayna LaBenne of MI. Also important in Pat's life were close friends, Paul Ortiz and Theresa Ortiz and their children Joseph, Melanie, and Jeremiah, and Josie and Charlie Pflieger and their daughters Rebekah, Deanna, and Elizabeth. She had numerous other friends who supported and loved her throughout her lifetime.

Pat was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Raymond F. Bovitz; mother, Alice Geraldine Carter (Girard); father, Edward Earl Carter; sister, Elaine Greten; brother, Edward E. Carter, and son Donald R. Bovitz.

A Rosary will be held Friday, August 7, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Prayer Service at 10:00 a.m. at French Funerals & Cremations - Westside Chapel with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery - Patio II North, 924 Menaul Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM.
