Patricia Ruth Millsap (Beddo)
12/22/1934-04/30/2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Ruth Millsap (Beddo) also known to many as "Pat" or to her family as "Jelli." At the age of 90, following an arduous battle with dementia, Pat passed away in the comfort of her home during the early morning hours of April 30, 2025.
Pat was born on December 22, 1934, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, to Travis Beddo and Callie Jewel Beddo. She married the love of her life, Freddie Millsap, on June 8, 1954. The couple moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where they thrived and raised a beautiful family until Freddie's untimely passing in April of 1978. Pat remained an active and vibrant member of the community until her passing.
Pat was kind, compassionate, and full of life. She was an extraordinary individual and nothing short of an absolute joy to spend time with. Her laughter will be profoundly missed. She was a natural card shark, who loved to play bridge with her sister and brother-in-law (Cherry and Bill Swartz). She had a gift of bringing people together, often over home-cooked meals or during activities and luncheons she hosted for the numerous clubs she belonged to. Pat was a dedicated member and officer of the Sanado Women's Club, where she enjoyed connecting with other women and engaging with the community for fifty years!
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Travis Beddo and Callie Jewel Beddo; her sister, Cherry Swartz, and her brother-in-law, Bill Swartz. She is survived by her brother, Homer Beddo; her daughter, Holli Millsap; her sons, Kyle Millsap (Tory Metzger), and David "Britt" Millsap; and her grandchildren: Calli Feerer (Brianna Feerer-Huss), Rylli Millsap, Emerson Millsap, Phoenix Millsap, and Nigel Geisler.
Pat will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and community. There is no way to fill the voids in our hearts; however, she would want us to go forth and find happiness in each day. May the sound of her laughter forever live on in our hearts.
The family asks that donations be made in Pat's honor to any charity focused on researching and/or actively caring for those with dementia and their families.
The family will honor the life and acknowledge the passing of Pat in a private family memorial.
