Patricia K. Harmon, age 83, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2026. Pat was born at St. Mary's Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota on April 28th, 1943; graduated as Valedictorian from Guardian Angels Catholic School in Chaska, Minnesota in 1961; and continued on to pursue nursing. She pursued her nursing degree from St. Gabriel's School of Nursing in Little Falls, Minnesota where she received her RN in 1964. Throughout her career, Pat worked at several different hospitals starting her career at Glenwood Hills Hospital in Minnesota. Patricia and her family relocated to New Mexico in 1978 seeking new opportunities and warmer weather. While living in New Mexico, with a short stint in Tucson, Arizona, Patricia worked at many different hospitals and clinics such as Sierra Tucson, Lovelace Hospital, and finally ending her nursing career at the Los Lunas Correctional Facility where she worked with her lifelong best friend, Jeanette Storey, who preceded her in death in 2024 which made the last year and a half of her life a little bit harder.

While pursuing her nursing career, Pat raised four children and enjoyed crafting. She was always crafting when she had free time - from making clothes for her children to making Christmas ornaments and cards, and even starting her own home-made teddy bear business, Mama Bear Unlimited. Her family still loves and enjoys the many teddy bears she made throughout her lifetime. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing golf and bowling. Pat was a lifelong learner and an avid reader - having a library in her home that rivaled any library in town.

Pat lived in the Belen/Los Chavez area for forty plus years and became very active in the Belen Art League. She was always crafty and an extremely talented artist. She painted many paintings and was always in pursuit of expanding her skills - even keeping a journal while teaching herself watercolor painting so she could learn and enhance her skills. Her children and grandchildren all enjoy paintings in their own homes, and she sold some of them as well at the Belen Art League.

Pat was preceded in death by her father Milo Harmon, her mother Kathryn Harmon Stevens, stepfather Richard Stevens, and sisters Peg, Terry, and Judy. Patricia is survived by her two sisters Mary Light (Danny) and Carol Warren, her two brothers Jim Harmon and Joe (Diane) Harmon, stepbrother Kim Stevens, brother-in-law Barry Ams, and many nieces and nephews in Minnesota and Arizona.

She will be greatly missed by her children Kathryn Rankin and partner Joe Miller, Stephanie Wright-Vehar, David Fietek and his wife Christine, and Andrew Fietek and his wife Kari; grandchildren Kenny Sifford and wife Brooke, Lee Allers, Amanda Mikulich, Nichole Moran and husband Andrew, Kaleigh Rankin, Annika Barela and her husband Cruz, Carter Fietek, Meadow Fietek, Roland Fietek, Logan Rankin, Magen Cox and Mandy Mertel; as well as 19 great-grandchildren with one more on the way in December.

There will be a memorial luncheon and celebration of her life on Monday, October 12th at 11:00 - 2:00 at The Bosque Farms Community Center - 950 N. Bosque Farms Loop, Bosque Farms, NM 87068.
