Patricia Mae Gallegos

On October 20, 2025, Patricia Mae Gallegos, a beloved Godmother, friend, cousin, and aunt, peacefully departed from this world. Born on July 3, 1938, in Valmora, New Mexico, Patricia was the daughter of Larry Sandoval and Mary Dilia Gentry. She was raised by her grandparents, George and Fidelia Torres, from the age of six.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; daughter, Cynthia Clara Lopez; husband, Jake Gallegos; and dearest Aunt and Uncle, Adelina and Anselmo Valdez.

Patricia was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She is survived by her caretaker for the past two years, who became like a daughter to her, and best friend Annette Montoya. She is also survived by two special Goddaughters, Maxine Valdez Ortiz and husband, James and family, and Loren Ortiz and husband, David Williams and family; and a special niece, Doris Merzweiler and her family. She is also survived by another Goddaughter, Patsy Ortiz and husband, David. Patricia is survived by many cherished relatives and friends. Patricia had a deep love for cooking and sewing, and she cherished sharing her culinary creations with her close family and friends. She donated over 1,700 hand-sewn blankets to the Cuidando los Niños organization. Patricia’s love for travel was evident in her extensive travels, including 17 cruises with her husband and special trips with her family members and friends. Patricia was a very loving and generous individual. Her memory will be cherished by all those who loved her and spent time with her. She will be greatly missed. Pat appreciated the love and care she received from her friends and family.

Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos Rd. NE Albuquerque, NM with a Rosary at 10:30 a.m. and Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery 1900 Edith Blvd. NE.
