Pamela Skinner

May 25, 1948 — January 30, 2024

Pamela Ann Skinner, 75, passed away on Tuesday morning, January 30th, 2024 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Pamela "Pam/Pammy" Ann Fuller was born in El Paso, Texas on May 25th, 1948. She lived most of her life in Midland, Texas where she was a proud graduate of Midland Lee High School, class of 1967. She also attended college at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. Life brought her to Abilene, Texas for several years where she became a successful business owner and a mother to her only child. Upon returning to Midland, Texas, Pam worked as an administrative assistant for a successful oil company. She became a homemaker for the remainder of her life after she married her husband, Harres Wayne Skinner, on May 18th, 1985. Following her husband's passing, she moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where she became a survivor of Polycystic Kidney Disease after receiving her life-saving kidney transplant on August 18, 2006. Pamela was one-of-a-kind...to know her was a gift, to be loved by her, an honor. Pam's favorite Bible verse was Proverbs 3:5-6, which reads, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths"...and she did trust the Lord.

Pam was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Jane Mackey; her father the Honorable Judge Lawrence Lee Fuller; and her husband Harres Wayne Skinner.

Pam is survived by her daughter, Ashley Rice, and her husband Charles of Baird, Texas; her grandsons Jason Holland and Evan Hurst, both of Baird, Texas; and one great granddaughter, Amayah Holland, of Abilene, Texas. She leaves behind her sisters, Debra Cunnington and her husband, Michael of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Patricia Brown of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Pam also had a stepmother, Barbara "Kojak" Fuller of Buchanan Dam, Texas, and a stepfather, Graham Mackey of Midland, Texas, both of whom she loved dearly. She also leaves behind her cherished nieces and nephew.

The family will be planning a Celebration of Life for Pam which be scheduled for a future date. Memorials may be made in Pamela's name to the PKD Foundation at www.pkdcure.org to assist in finding a cure for Polycystic Kidney Disease.
