Listen to Obituary

Paityn Sophia Sustaita, age 12. A beloved daughter and sister.

Paityn was born on March 14, 2014, in Albuquerque, NM to Adriana Aragon and Sammy Sustaita. Paityn is survived by her mother, Adriana, and brother, Sammy Sustaita Jr.

Our baby girl was called to Heaven on April 24, 2026, leaving behind cherished grandparents, step-father, step-brother, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a wide circle of friends.

Paityn attended Cottonwood Classical Preparatory School, where her bright personality and kind heart shined. She had a passion for trying new things and embraced every opportunity with excitement. There wasn't a sport Paityn didn't want to try-she danced her heart out in jazz, tap, folklorico, ballet and hip hop; played soccer; and later joined gymnastics and flag football. Out of every sport, cheerleading was where her heart truly belonged. Watching her perform was always a joy, especially seeing her strength and confidence build each day. She proudly cheered for her team as they scored a touchdown and chanted loudly, making her unique self stand out.

Paityn had a special gift for bringing people together. Her vibrant energy and genuine connection allowed her to turn strangers into friends. Her smile could brighten even the darkest days, and her presence brought warmth, comfort, and happiness to everyone around her. She was funny, kind-hearted and full of life. Her laughter and energy were truly contagious.

She shared a special bond with her mother and brother. Her love for her family was unconditional. Paityn taught those around her the true meaning of love, joy, and living fully. Her voice, her laughter, and the way she loved will forever echo in the hearts of all who knew her.

Not a day will pass that we will not think of her and miss her beyond words. While we grieve her loss, we are deeply grateful for every moment we were blessed to have with her. We find comfort in knowing she is at peace and watching over us as our guardian Angel in Heaven. Jesus has given us that comfort. The bible reminds us in John 3:16 that God loved the world so much He gave his only Son, Jesus Christ, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

You will always be our baby girl. Your light will continue to shine through all of us. We will honor you by living with the same love, joy and kindness you gave.

God is within her, she will not fall -Psalm 46:5
