Overton (Odie) Goodgion

Overton (Odie) Goodgion, 82, beloved father, was called to his eternal resting place on January 20, 2018. He entered this world on June 3, 1935, in Lubbock, TX, born to Mamie and Talbot Zilman Goodgion. He is survived by his daughters, Robbie Schamp (Greg) of Scottsdale, AZ; Suzie Goodgion, and Deborah Chavez both of Albuquerque; son, Eddie Goodgion (Aom) of Si Songkhram, Thailand; grandsons, Nick, Alex, Josh, Aaron Chavez, and Maxwell Goodgion. He is also survived by his sister, Roberta West of Leveland, TX. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice (Ayers) Goodgion and his five sisters and two brothers.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Twosomes Sunday School Class. He was a highly regarding professional in the reinforced concrete business for close to 60 years. He bowled in the Methodist Bowling League close to 50 years and was the League Secretary for a good part of that.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018, 3:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 315 Coal Avenue SW, Albuquerque, NM 87102, with Reverend Jon Moore officiating.
