Orpha Mae Baca, age 76, a beloved resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025.
She is survived by her daughters, Tina Herrera and Marquita Herrera; granddaughters, Lucia and Amadea Dichiora; beloved aunts, Elisa Delgado and Dena Muñoz; brothers, Victor Baca (wife Liz) and Anthony Baca (wife Kathleen); her twin sister, Ida Mae Chavez (husband Rafael); sister, Diana Esparza (husband Carlos); as well as many cherished cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tony and Cecilia Baca.
Born on April 5, 1949, in Gallup, New Mexico, Orpha entered the world alongside her twin sister, Ida Mae. She raised her daughters while working at JC Penney and Belew's Office Supply. Her work journey continued at OfficeMax, and she later retired from Sam's Club, forming lasting friendships along the way.
Orpha had a special gift for capturing life's joyful moments. Whether it was with her camera or camcorder, she was always ready to document family gatherings and celebrations. She found joy in shopping, celebrating milestones, and being surrounded by loved ones.
Orpha's presence brought warmth, laughter, and love to every gathering. She will be remembered for her generous heart.
Though she has departed this life, Orpha's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A memorial service will be held at French-LOMAS on July 22nd, 2025 beginning at 10:30am. The family will receive guests a half an hour prior to the memorial service, and a reception will follow.
