Santa Fe, New Mexico native Orlando (Tandy) Castellano, age 78, loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend passed away November 7, 2025.
Orlando was known for his lifelong commitment and devotion to his family, his teasing sense of humor and warmth to all. He had a great love of the outdoors, fishing, carpentry, landscaping, Spanish music, playing the guitar and the Dallas Cowboys.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rebecca Castellano; his children, Joseph Castellano, Clifford Castellano (Michelle), Denise Castellano (Andy Urias); his grandchildren, Dannelle Castellano, Noah Fleming, Joshua Castellano, Charlee Thompson, Caleb Castellano, Phillip Lybrand, Magen Klovas, Dylan Urias, Madeline Urias, and Reyna Yanez; his great-grandchildren, Marquise Davis, David Castellano, Andrew Jr. Castellano, Isaiah Castellano. He is also survived by his brothers, Alex Castellano (Anna), Bobby Castellano (Joan), Pat Castellano, Steve Castellano (Ellen) and his sister, Anna Castellano (Mike).
He also leaves many cherished nieces, nephews and cousins.
Also touching Orlando's life were numerous beloved in-laws as well as many lifelong friends.
Orlando was preceded in death by his parents, Florencio and Flora Castellano; his siblings, Paul, Jackie and Tommy Castellano; his grandchildren, Andrew and Aaron Castellano and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and dear friends.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 9:45 a.m., at San Ysidro Catholic Church located at 5015 Corrales Rd, Corrales NM 87048. A reception will immediately follow in the parish hall.
