Opal Ragan

In loving memory of Opal Emily (Baker) Ragan, 97

Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, who was called to her heavenly home on March 21, 2025, joining her husband, Roy B Ragan; and son, Leslie J Ragan.

She was born on September 23, 1927 in Arapaho, OK to Alfred M Baker and Ethel E (Speck) Baker. She had three sisters and three brothers all preceding her in death.

Opal is survived by her son, Charles R Ragan of Dexter, NM; three daughters, Shirley Hankins and her husband Mike of Yukon, OK, Janice Slivka of Rio Rancho, Linda Mann and her husband David of Rio Rancho; daughter-in-law, Karen Ragan of Odessa, TX; 14 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren.

She will be remembered for her love of her family, and the time she spent creating beautiful quilts and afghans.
