Olive Patricia Brown, age 92, died on January 31, 2025. She was raised in Tucson, Arizona. She attended nursing school in Flagstaff, Arizona, and became a registered nurse. There, she met and married her husband, Charles Eugene Brown. They were married in 1955 in McNary, Arizona. Olive, her husband, and their young family moved from Houston, Texas, and established residency in Albuquerque in 1975. Here, they built a home where she lived for 50 years.
She obtained a PhD in Health Education from the University of New Mexico and worked with the United States Public Health Service for 25 years. She was proud of her service and obtained the rank of Captain.
Olive was a dedicated wife, mother, and friend. She enjoyed creating a home and was an active landscape and garden enthusiast. Later in life, she traveled extensively.
Olive was predeceased by her husband, Charles Eugene Brown, her siblings, Rose Marie Franko, Cyril George Hanley Jr., Cecil Charles Hanley, and her grandson, Patrick Andrew Wootton. She is survived by her daughters, Charlotte Driver and husband Paul Driver, and children, Charlene Brown and husband Kenneth E Wootton and Charmaine Brown.
