Our beloved mother, Ninfa Sanchez, was called home by our Lord Jesus Christ, on February 7, 2026. She passed peacefully with her daughter Theresa by her side. Ninfa was born to Elifgo and Demecia Trujillo in Belen, NM, on November 10, 1936. She had 8 siblings. Ninfa was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend. Ninfa lived a life of love, compassion, strength, and kindness, and above all, she valued her family.
Ninfa married Milton F. Sanchez on January 16, 1953, at Our Lady of Belen, in Belen, New Mexico and were married for 63 years. They lived a full life raising their six children, traveling, and spending time in Red River where they had a second home and were very active in the community and church.
Ninfa was a homemaker. She made wonderful meals for her family and she was a wonderful baker. The family longed for her homemade bread and rolls, her delicious caramel apple pie; and the family favorite, pineapple upside down cake. She was also an accomplished quilter. She enjoyed gardening and watching football. Mostly she enjoyed her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Later in life Ninfa built a career as a meat cutter. She was a proud member of the Teamster Union. Ninfa was a devout Catholic and was an active member of the Women's Guild of Annunciation Church.
Ninfa is preceded in death by her parents Elifgo and Demecia Trujillo; her loving and devoted husband Milton F. Sanchez; son Roland Sanchez, and daughter Ella Sanchez. She will be laid to rest with her husband, son and daughter. Ninfa is survived by 2 daughters and 2 sons; Theresa (David) Brenner, Milton "JD" (Renee`) Sanchez, Lisa (Frank) Valencia, and Patrick (Cindy) Sanchez. 10 grandchildren; Daniel (Diane) Brenner, Edward Rubio, Austin (Maddison) Rubio, Dominic (Deleigh) Rubio, Ann Marie (Andrew) Marrymee, Alexander Sanchez, Angela (Sean) Wood, Jessica Quintana (Jordan Anderson), Ericca Quintana, Bianca Quintana (Matthew Garcia). 10 great-grandchildren; Hailey Brenner, Beau Brenner, Madix Rubio, Maverick Rubio, Ethyn Boyd, Khloe Boyd, Kimberly Padilla, Matilda Garcia, Ryan Anderson, Gabe Anderson.
