Neta Hazel Reiter, aged 79, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2024, at the Heart Hospital, in Albuquerque, NM. Born on August 28, 1945, Neta lived a deeply rooted life around the Puget Sound in Washington state before relocating to Dolores, Colorado in 2021.
Neta graduated from North Thurston High and enjoyed working in the hospitality business before meeting her husband, Rob and having their two sons. Her focus happily shifted to raising two boys and volunteering in their grade school and extracurricular programs. Neta loved being near the water. She and her family spent many summer days boating and playing on the beaches around Boston Harbor. She later worked as a union office manager before retiring in 2006. Neta was a skilled craftswoman in several mediums. In recent years she created and gifted many stunning pine needle baskets and gourd art pieces. Other joys in life included gardening, snow birding, visiting family and friends, and camp hosting.
Neta was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister. She is survived by her husband, Rob Reiter; son, Brad Reiter; stepchildren Sean and Tracee Reiter; sisters, Lorraine Turner, Lela Wimer, Beverly Burfoot, and brother Neal Bradford. She was preceded in death by her son Brian Reiter, her parents, Hazel and Roy Bradford, and her brother Roy Bradford Jr.
A celebration of Life will be held in Olympia, Washington in May 2025 where family and friends will gather to remember Neta and honor her life. Date and location to be announced.
