Nancy Carol Parker

February 7, 1932 - July 14, 2026

Nancy (Dotson) Parker was born and raised in Cuyahoga Falls, OH, and moved to Phoenix, AZ, where she met her love, Robert (Bob) Parker. They married and moved to Albuquerque where they raised their 3 children, Paul Parker, Keith Parker and Lisa (Parker-Trainor) Skocypec. Bob and Nancy eventually retired and enjoyed tennis, traveling and attending sporting events of their 3 grandsons. Nancy was a kind, considerate, and loving wife, mother and friend. Her smile and sense of humor brought laughter and joy to every day! Nancy enjoyed playing tennis well into her 80s! Since Bob played golf, she thought she'd give that a try and got a hole-in-one during a lesson at Los Altos Golf Course. Since there was nothing to strive for after that, she left the game of golf! She loved the Lord and enjoyed her various roles in United Methodist Women at St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Her favorite past-time was playing Skip-Bo with her friends and having Friday "meetings" (i.e. parties). Nancy worked as an X-ray tech, kindergarten teaching assistant, and office worker throughout adulthood, but her most important achievement was as a mother. She was the best! She was preceded in death by her father, Charles R. Dotson, mother, Eva Charles Dotson, sister, MaryAnn Skolka, brothers Charles Dotson and Thomas Dotson, husband Bob and granddaughter Alicia Trainor. She is survived by her 3 children, Paul Parker and wife Barbara, Keith Parker, and Lisa Skocypec and husband Russell. She had three grandsons, Jamie Trainor (Tatum), Jarrod Trainor and Joel Trainor in addition to 5 step-granddaughters, Stephanie Brennan (Derrick), Valerie Schwartz (Michael), Rachel Skocypec (Patrick Tiernan), Brenda Tyler (Steve), Sarah Thompson and 9 stepgreat-grandkids, Gavin and Lindsey Brennan, Rosemary and Maxwell Schwartz, Jake, Ava and Caleb Tyler, and Reagan and Riley Thompson. A celebration of 94 years of a life well-lived will be held at St. Paul's United Methodist Church at 9500 Constitution Ave. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorial contributions to St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Nancy Parker's name. If you have purple attire, feel free to wear it!
