Nancy Miller

Nancy Miller, age 81, died in her home of more than fifty years on Friday, December 18, 2020 due to cancer. She was born Sunday, November 26, 1939 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Byron and Winnie McVicker. Her beloved husband of 49 years, Ronnie Miller, passed before her in 2014.

Ronnie was the owner of Ronnie Miller Construction Company. Nancy is survived by her brother, Gary McVicker of Golden, Colorado, his wife Patricia, and their daughters, Dianna Keiser and Lauren McVicker. Dianna cared for Nancy in her home for the last six months of her life. Nancy also had a dedicated and loving dog named J-Lo.

Nancy loved caring for her home, keeping herself in good physical condition, and her dogs, of which she had several during her long life. The ashes of her favorite dog, Monique, will be interned with her. Unfortunately, she did not get the time to travel more, something she genuinely wanted to do. She was outgoing, chatty, and fun. Her friends were many; some from the gym were amazed at her physical conditioning even in her later years. Nancy was deeply loved and will be missed by all, including friends, old and new, and J-Lo.

No more fitting words concerning her passing can be found than those penned by Lauren McVicker: Trust me, it isn’t the end but the beginning. We will see each other again. I love you. Thanks for being there for me and being an awesome aunt.

Nancy’s remains will be cremated.

Graveside services will be delayed until Covid restrictions are relieved. Those services will be announced here when scheduled.
