Nancy Louise Kirkpatrick

Nancy Louise Jacobs Kirkpatrick, 75, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2026.

Born in Barnesville, Ohio, on Sunday, March 11, 1951, Nancy lived a life defined by warmth, dedication to her family, and an unwavering spirit of service. On Saturday, September 5, 1970, she married the love of her life, Dennis Kirkpatrick. Together, they built a vibrant life, raised a wonderful family, and shared nearly 56 years of marriage filled with deep companionship and adventure.

Nancy dedicated many years of service to the public, retiring from the State of New Mexico Health Department. Never one to sit still, she turned her passion for wellness into an active second chapter as a certified personal trainer, inspiring and encouraging countless members of her community to stay healthy and active. A faithful and active member of Christ United Methodist Church since 1981, her faith and community were always central to her life.

Whether crafted with a sewing needle or a crochet hook, Nancy's creations were pure acts of love. A master seamstress who could make virtually anything, her handiwork ranged from intricate quilts, elegant prom dresses, and detailed doll clothes to memorable Halloween costumes. Whenever a need arose, Nancy always stepped in without hesitation. She regularly devoted her time to crocheting delicate hats for newborns in the NICU-a quiet testament to a generous heart that always brought comfort, joy, and care to others.

Nancy also had a passion for seeing the world alongside Dennis. Together, they shared unforgettable journeys, culminating in their cherished final big adventure to Greece.

Above all, Nancy's greatest pride and joy was her family. She is survived by her husband, Dennis; her two daughters, Shara (Peter) and Brie (Lance); her four cherished grandchildren, Dylan, Gavin, Danica, and Sam; and her brother, Duane and his family.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, craftsmanship, fitness, and cherished memories that will be forever held in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Services will be held at Christ United Methodist Church on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 2:00 PM, with fellowship immediately following. In honor of Nancy's bright spirit, attendees are invited to wear purple, her favorite color.
