Mildred (Millie) Elaine Brady

December 21, 1934 — November 12, 2025

Mildred (Millie) Elaine Brady was born on December 21, 1934, in Palisade, Nebraska. She was second of eight children born to William and Beaulah Weber. She dearly loved her siblings, Barbara Ozbun, Lillian Tucker, Bill Weber, Douglas Weber, Jeannie Jehorek, Richard Weber, and Darleen Henderson. The Weber family lived on a farm near Culbertson, Nebraska.

Millie graduated from Culbertson High School in 1952. Some of her best memories were of roller skating and attending high school football games with her siblings and friends in Culbertson. During this time, she often lived in town with her Aunt Lizzie Gohl with whom she was very close. Shortly after graduating, she moved to Denver, Colorado, and bravely made her own way there. She had various jobs at the beginning but was very happy when she got a secretarial job at Allstate Insurance. She met Richard Brady at Allstate, and their first date was on St. Patrick's Day. They married on Sept 2, 1961, at All Souls Catholic Church in Englewood, Colorado. They had three children (plus a son named Bradford who died at birth in 1963). Tamara Ann Brady was born in 1966, Jeffrey Scott Brady was born in 1969 (died in 1989), and Shannon Lee Brady Kmatz was born in 1972. The family moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1972. Richard Brady passed away in December of 2014.

Millie adored her grandchildren, Amanda, Kellison, Sydney, Jeffrey, and Zachary; great-grandchildren, Joey and Abagail were her final joys. She was expecting her third great-grandchild in March 2026.

She also made true and loyal friends along the way.

Millie was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was also a huge fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Denver Broncos.

She worked for several years at The Flower Company where she made lifelong friends.

She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease late in life. In her final years she enjoyed watching birds, drinking Pepsi, and eating lots of snacks. A battle with Alzheimer's never won, but she sure fought her battle fiercely.

She was the beautiful age of 90 years when she passed. She was surrounded by family in the days preceding her passing.

We would all be lucky to enjoy life as much as she did.

A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., at St. John XXIII Catholic Community, 4831 Tramway Ridge Dr. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87111.
