Michael Sandry, 72, born in Roswell, NM and started his journey to Eternal Life Tuesday, June 6, 2017 in Albuquerque with his wife, Doreen by his side. He is survived by the love of his life for 32 years, Doreen; his son, Scott; brothers, Don, Frank and wife, Laura; and his nephew, Brandon.

Mike was an outstanding athlete with a great passion for baseball, beginning with Roswell's Little League, that won the World Series in 1956. He excelled in gymnastics at UNM, winning numerous events in Trampoline and Rings and was inducted into the UNM Hall of Fame on January 15, 1999. Mike graduated from UNM in 1968. He started his Math teaching career at Hoover Middle School and continued it with the inception of Eldorado High School , where he excelled in teaching Math at various levels for 26 years. Mr. Sandry also started Eldorado's first gymnastics program coaching both girls and boys. His outstanding coaching skills resulted in his teams winning over a dozen State Championships.

Mike has always selflessly given so much to others. He was an avid animal lover and they all reciprocated that love. His passions were woodworking, riding motorcycles, cooking, building and remodeling homes, fishing and RV trips with Doreen and friends. He especially enjoyed being a part of Habitat for Humanity's S.W.A.T. Team.

The family would like to thank all the medical personnel within the Presbyterian System for their compassionate care of Mike. There will be no Memorial Services and cremation has taken place.

"What a beautiful difference his life made to so many that knew him".
