Michael Phillip James

Michael Phillip James, 44, a lifetime resident of the South Valley, passed away at his home on Tuesday, November 13, 2018. Michael, “Mike” as he was known at work and to friends, “Mikie” as he was known to his loved ones, is survived by his father Michael F. James and stepmom Tina; his auntie Terri and uncle Frank Lovato; his sister Jeannette James and Shawn Wayman, his sister Danielle and Peter Montoya, his mother Irene Sena and sister Desiree Sena, and his uncle Chris James and aunt Antonia James, his step brother Robert and Renee Gallegos. Mikie is also survived by his godson Matthew James, nephews Jonathan Hanna, Noah and Aiden Montoya, and niece Chloe Montoya. Additionally, Mike is survived by longtime friends Wes and Cherise Shrader. Mikie is survived by many cousins, aunts, and uncles. Mike worked as a handyman of many trades mostly in Albuquerque but also around New Mexico. Mikie loved the Dallas Cowboys, cooking and sharing family recipes, and spending time at home in the South Valley. The family held a small Prayer Service on Saturday, November 24, 2018 and asks that in remembrance of their beloved son, brother, and uncle for everyone to practice kindness to one another.
