Michael Anthony Devine

Michael Anthony Devine, age 46, passed away unexpectedly on July 5, 2026. He was born on May 10, 1980, in Amarillo, Texas. Mike and his family moved to Albuquerque when he was four years old and lived here for the remainder of his life. 

Michael graduated from Sandia High School and attended the University of New Mexico. From a very young age, Mike became uniquely attached to sports, carrying his passion with him for his entire life. Mike was an avid San Francisco 49ers fan and, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, he also rooted for the Chicago Cubs. He enjoyed family camping trips in northern New Mexico. 

Mike's greatest love was his family, with a special soft spot for his nephew Lukah. He was extremely proud of his siblings, acting as their protector for his entire life. His heart was larger than life, and he was always willing to help anyone at the drop of a hat. He was witty, compassionate, and thoughtful. He loved his dogs, and there were many throughout his lifetime. 

Michael is survived by his parents Richard and Sharon Devine, his brother Stephen Devine (Jodi), his sister Ellen Devine-Gavaldon (Phelan), his nephew Lukah, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is predeceased by his grandparents, Harry and Ellen Olson and Bill and Mary Louise Devine. A celebration of Michael's life will be held at a later date.
