Michael Taylor Chaney, a devoted husband, loving father, and dear friend, passed away on February 12, 2026. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and warmth, cherished by his beloved wife, Lynn Chaney, and their children, Theresa Matinas and Jonathon Chaney. Michael's life will be celebrated and remembered by his sisters, Kathy Chaney, LeeAnn Bruce, Karen Nothdurft, and Linda Epperson, along with his brothers, Steve Polos, Kevin Schwinn, Robert Schwinn, and James Chaney. He will be sorely missed by his daughter-in-law, Dianne Chaney, and grandchildren, Christopher Chaney, Stratton Matinas, Savannah Matinas, and Talia Matinas.

A passionate coach, Michael found great joy in mentoring young athletes in little league, fostering talents and friendships that transcended the playing field. His warm presence brought people together, whether during lively gatherings with friends or soaking in the electrifying atmosphere of concerts. Michael's summers were filled with unforgettable moments shared traveling with his grandson, Christopher, and visiting with Stratton and other family members, creating memories that will resonate through the hearts of his loved ones forever.
