Melton B. Rushing

Melton B. Rushing departed this world to enter his long awaited eternal home on February 27, 2018. He was a World War II veteran. Melton was retired from Sandia Labs where he had worked for 30 years as a specifications engineer. He was a charter member of Sandia Church of the Nazarene where he served as Sunday School Superintendent for 15 plus years. Melton loved people and people loved him. He brought much joy to this world.

Melton is survived by three children, Ronald Rushing and his wife, Toni; Garold Rushing and his wife, Tarilyn; and Dennis Rushing and his wife, DeAnn; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Melton was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Marie Rushing; his parents, Elmer and Ola; two sisters, Dorothy and Zora; brother, Elmer Marion; and daughter, Christine. What a homecoming this day brings!

Visitation will be Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Wyoming. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, March 2, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Holiday Park Church of the Nazarene, 11435 Montgomery Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park.
