Melba Saiz

Melba Saiz, age 88, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday March 23, 2016. Melba was surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Chilili, New Mexico to Melquides and Isabel Martinez. She is survived by her daughter, Rosalie Anaya and husband, Honario; granddaughter, Roberta Anaya and companion, Mark Gutierrez; great-grandson, Mark A. Gutierrez; sister, Tommie Sanchez; God-daughter, Martha Martinez; numerous nieces, nephews and all that knew and loved her. She will be greatly missed. She is proceeded in death by her husband, Porfirio Saiz; son, Fermin Saiz; sister-in -law, Prudy Jaramillo; and brother-in-law, Delfino Sanchez. The family would like to thank Abel and Alice Anaya, Lita and Rafael Gonzalez, Barbara Chavez, Andrea Padilla and her hospice nurse, Dana Shock for all their loving support and care for Melba. Pallbearers will be, Honario Anaya, Mark Gutierrez, Abel Anaya, Henry Sanchez, Michael Sanchez and Matt Martinez. Friends may visit Tuesday, March 29, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Ghost Catholic, 833 Arizona Ave SE. The Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, 9:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 833 Arizona Ave SE with interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
