MaryLu Sena

Maria Luisa ("MaryLu") Sena, born in 1928 in Winslow, Arizona, passed away peacefully in Albuquerque on Friday, April 23, 2021, at the age of 92.

MaryLu is survived by her daughters, Dottie Melendez (husband, John) and Dianna Flores; grandchildren, Erica Melendez, Bianca Melendez-Gonzales, Marcos Melendez, Mercedes Melendez, Desiree Flores, and Macario Flores; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sixto Rubio and Maria Perez; her sisters, Mary Welter and Cora Custer; and her brother, Joe Rubio.

MaryLu, a devout Catholic, was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Parish for many years, and had a strong devotion to her Patron Saint, Saint Jude of Thaddaeus. MaryLu was a caregiver for many years for a number of people. For the last seventeen years, until her retirement, she was a caregiver for, and devoted friend to Loretta Keleher. The Keleher family have remained close to MaryLu and visited her frequently.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary's School in Albuquerque. A Rosary will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Albuquerque on Monday, May 3, 2021 at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul Blvd NE. Pallbearers will be, William B. Keleher, Thomas F. Keleher, Sr., Thomas F. Keleher, Jr., Daniel W. Keleher, Peter Walker-Keleher, Gabriel Melendez.
