Maria Zenovia Ulibarri Martinez

June 18, 1935 - May 5, 2026

Maria Zenovia Ulibarri Martinez, born June 18, 1935, in Colonias, New Mexico, just outside of Santa Rosa, entered the Lord's Kingdom on May 5, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Maria was the beloved daughter of Margarito of Cuervo, New Mexico, and Cecilia Ulibarri of Alamo Ranch, New Mexico, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her devoted husband of 43 years, Florenio C. Martinez of Marquez, New Mexico, as well as her beloved son, Tomas J. Martinez.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and family. Maria is survived by her daughter, Monica Mondragon, and her husband, James; her son, John K. Martinez, and his wife, Michelle; and her cherished grandchildren: Dereck Martinez; Jamie Mondragon; Jarred Mondragon and his wife, Meghan; Diego P. Martinez; and Mateo A. Martinez.

Maria was deeply blessed to spend the past three months enjoying her great-granddaughter, Madelynn Zenovia Mondragon, who brought her great joy. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews who will forever hold her memory close.

Maria will be remembered for her strength, faith, and the deep love she had for her family. Her presence will be greatly missed, but her spirit and example will live on in the many lives she touched.

A Rosary will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, beginning at 10:15 a.m., followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87105. The Entombment will immediately follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
