Mary Teresa Wylie

Mary (Maria) Wylie was born August 15, 1935, and raised in Old Town Albuquerque, NM, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2026, she was 91.

She was a devoted Catholic and long-time member of San Felipe de Neri Parish, where she volunteered and helped support her church for many years.

She was a generous caregiver as well as foster grandparent and was always willing to help anyone in need. An expert in the culinary arts, Mary loved to cook and bake, especially for her family.

She is the daughter of the late John Creighton and Josephine Duran Wylie, and preceded in death by her sister, Juanita Martinez.

She is survived by her son, Chris Wylie and his wife, Cathy; her grandchildren, Elena Subia and husband, Andrew, Christina Singleton and husband, Clarence, and Lucas Wylie; five great-grandchildren, Andrew and Eli Subia, Isaiah Singleton, and Jade and Nico Wylie; siblings, Mary Louisa Gutierrez and Joe Wylie; and her many nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by her family.

A rosary will be recited Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. followed by mass at 11:00 a.m., both at San Felipe de Neri Church in Old Town, 20065 N Plaza St. NW. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd. NE.
