Mary Lou Ottino

Mary Lou Ottino, 91, beloved mom, grandmommy, aunt and sister, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 12, 2020.

She entered this world on November 14, 1929 in Somerville, TX, born to Spurgeon and Annie Lou Fitt and grew up in Belen, NM. She is survived by her brother, Curtis Fitt (Barb); daughters, Janette Diewald and Carol Torres (George) and Caryn Barre, daughter, by heart Sylvia Letorgeon (Serge); grandkids, Brent Barre, Branden Murray (Marke), Jennifer Lowery (Danny), Jason Anderson (Michelle), Andy Diewald (Cherilyn), Ryan Barre (Brigit), Sean Barre, George A. Torres, Tammy Velasquez (Randy); great grandkids Jacob, Megan, Andrew, Morgan, Rebecca, Mackenzie, Lauren, Brooks, Richard (Dellyn), Eric, Jaycie, Alec, Max, Noah; as well as nieces Susan, Deeadra, Deenise; nephew. Gary and Grand Sherry.

Mary Lou is preceded in death by husband. Jim Ottino; son, Ted Barre; brother, Charles Fitt; first husband, George Barre, father of her children.

Mary Lou was the best mom and Grandmommy ever and taught her family to love and live life to the fullest, as she did. She was dedicated and supportive in all Masonic organizations and very active in Eastern Star and enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you to Carefree Assisted Living and staff, especially Cynthia and America, who have helped us so much and took care of our mom so well and with love.

A special thank you to Mary and Carson for their unselfish care they gave mom daily.
