Mary Margaret Mason

August 14, 1936 - December 24, 2023

Mary was preceded in death by Ralph, her loving and faithful husband of 60 years. She is survived by her five children, Emily Anaya, Particia Kimbrell and her husband, Russell, Elaine Harwood and her husband, John, Eugene Mason, and Julia Mason; grandchildren Christina, Stephanie, Jeremy and his wife, Kaila, Dustin, Jamie and her husband, Dustin, Adrian and his wife, Jessica, and Kevin; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Arden, Sierra, Novalee, Dean, Sam, and Killian; and great-great-grandchildren, Stormy, Elijah, and Natalie.

Mary was born in Mentmore, NM into a family of fourteen children by the time all was said and done. Her parents were Manuel and Julia Tellez. She attended Gallup High School and spent her summers working in Albuquerque. After graduation, she and her sister Christina enlisted in the Navy spending three years in the service.

Mary met Ralph on base in New Jersey in 1957. He called his mother and told her he met the girl he was going to marry. They loved each other for sixty years until Ralph's death in 2017.

Mary was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1965 and remained faithful till her death. A good wife, mother, and Christian, Mary was a hard-working, industrious woman as all who knew her can attest. Multi-talented seamstress, upholsterer, and furniture refinisher, she often worked late into the night when the house was quiet after the mayhem of the five children she and Ralph bore.

Mary and Ralph were generous to a fault, helping all that were in need to the best of their ability. Friends and family cherished them.

Mary lost herself in the last years due to the heartbreaking disease, Alzheimer's, but all who knew her will have wonderful memories of her life and love.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 27, 2024, 3:30 p.m., at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 8600 Los Volcanes Rd. NW. A reception will follow, location to be announced at the service.
