Mary Lovato

Mary Lovato, 97, a resident of Albuquerque passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.  She is survived by her son, Lawrence (Sonny) Lovato; granddaughters, Patricia Lovato, Deborah Lovato; great-grandchildren, Frank L.  Tafoya and wife, Kallie, Patrick Tafoya,  Justin Lucero and Michael Lucero; and future great-great grandson, Maddox J. Tafoya;  the Tafoya Family; sister-in-law Juanita Griswold and family; niece, Gillie Lovato and family; and many nieces and nephews in Colorado; and dear friend, Juliet Saavedra.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Lovato; parents, Frank and Katie Casados; brother, Teles Casados; and daughter-in-law, Rosie Lovato.

Her favorite past time was shopping at JC Penney’s where she retired from after many years of service; spending time at the  beauty salon to have her hair and nails done with her granddaughter, Trish; as well as sewing, reading,  and enjoying her family.

Memorial Rosary will be recited on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. followed by Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m.  at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 815 Guaymas Pl., NE, Albuquerque, NM.  Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.  The Lovato family would like to invite friends and family to a reception following the interment at 4:00 p.m. at The Garden Center, 10120 Lomas Blvd. NE.
