Mary Loretta Herrera

Mary "Loretta" Herrera loving mother, grandmother and nana went home to the loving arms of Our Lord on Saturday, August 12, 2023. Loretta was an amazing cook and was known for her famous tamales and natillas. Loretta was born Monday, January 19, 1948, the only child of Josie "Fefa" Herrera and Merjildo Herrera. Loretta is survived by only son Paul Vigil (AJ); and daughter-in-law Maria (Robert). Her precious grandchildren Angelina (Armando), Lillianna, Riley and Isabel "Shmella" (Daniel). 2 great-grandchildren, Esperanza and Armando Jr., and numerous cousins. She is preceded in death by husband Pete Vigil; parents Josie "Fefa" Herrera; and father Merjildo Herrera. Rosary will be held Tuesday, August 22, 2023 6:30 p.m., at FRENCH- University. Mass will be Wednesday, August 23, 2023 10:00 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Parish, 5311 Phoenix Ave NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. The Burial will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery, at 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Joseph Herrera, Robert Herrera, Michael Herrera, Martin Herrera, Robert Flores, and Armando Marquez Sr., honorary pallbearers are Riley LaBelle and Armando Marquez Jr.
