Mary Ann Kerns

Mary Ann Kerns, age 78, dedicated mother, grandmother, friend, and well known HIS case manager and RN, passed away September 3, 2025. Mary was known for her dedication in the community, though holding her public servant position at the Acoma Reservation. She was a veteran of the Vietnam War and was a public servant as a Lt Nurse Officer. She practiced for 30 years. She held licenses in Colorado, Hawaii, and New Mexico.

She is survived by her son, Anthony Sean Kerns; and her daughter, Nicole Marie Knowlton Nunez, and son-in-law, Hector Nunez. She also leaves her granddaughters, Miranda Kerns, and Chloe Elle Kerns, and her grandsons, Erik Douglas Knowlton, and Benjamin Mathias Wright. She also leaves three great-grandsons, cherished brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. She also had numerous friends in the community.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Laverne Kerns and son, Jason Andrew Kerns.

Services for Mary Ann will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, beginning with a visitation at 8:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 9:00 a.m., at the FRENCH - Westside Chapel. The burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:00 p.m.
