Mary Jo Janiel, age 81, a resident of Albuquerque since 1936, died Tuesday, January 22, 2018 after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease.
She is survived by her daughters, Renee Keane and husband, Greg, and Renata DeSpain; four grandchildren, Nickolis Keane, Brandon Keane, Matthew Keane, and Jesse DeSpain; brother, Joseph Marchetti and wife, Charlotte; sisters, Betty Marchetti and Judy Marchetti; sister-in-law, Katherine McFadden; and other relatives and friends. Jo was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Renata Marcanti Marchetti; step-father, Paul McFadden; and brother, Michael McFadden.
She was born in 1936 in Albuquerque and graduated from Albuquerque High, Class of 1954. Jo went to work for Presbyterian Hospital for several years before going to work at the Social Security Administration from which she retired. She loved to knit and crochet, and more than anything spend time with her family. Jo also loved animals. She was an angel from heaven, taking care of everyone. Jo was a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2018, 12:00 noon at FRENCH - Lomas.
