Mary G. Baran (born Kraemer), age 66; a dedicated and loving mother and our family’s glue. Mary died Friday, March 23rd, 2018 at 12:37 pm. Mary was born September 17, 1951 in Chicago, IL to Jacob and Leona Kraemer who preceded her in death. She married Benjamin R. Baran on June 22, 1973, and from then on they exemplified a loving relationship others aspire to achieve. Mary worked as an RN for 18 years in the ER, in the OR (heart transplants), and ultimately as a hospice nurse and manager. Mary brought her keen intelligence and compassion to a great number of people who benefited from her abilities. To know her was to love her, and she will be profoundly missed. She is survived by her husband Ben Baran, her children Robert Baran, Clare Steward and her husband Javis, Jake (Stanley) Baran and his wife Sarah, and Jonathan Baran and his wife Caitlin. She deeply loved her grandchildren Javis, Jocelyn, Alaina, James and Sophia. She was preceded in death by her brother Jacob Kraemer, and is survived by her sisters Karen Chesney, Pam Ennis, Teri Buckingham, Kim Brocklehurst and Mindy Castillo.
